Oh Paris

So, more pictures as promised! I just finished up a long work stretch and finally had a chance to sit down and start sorting through the 1000+ pictures from our trip. Here are a few of my favorites.
Outside our Bed & Breakfast
Ornate scroll work on the door at the Notre Dam
Succulents at a Flower Shop
There were locks all over some of the bridges

Latin Quarter

Inside the Louvre
Ancient Stone Tablets
Stone Tablet with Hieroglyphics
The Mona Lisa - it's not a small as people would have you think

Streets of Paris
Blue Doors. Love all the wrought iron balconies.
Cheers to Paris at the top of the Eiffle Tower
View of the City

From the top!

And from the bottom.
What a wonderful city. I would so go back...

Back to the Humdrum

Bicycle on the Canal - Annecy, France

It is nice to be home. Spending time with Mal, getting the laundry done, grocery shopping, trying to get over jet lag. Sorting mail, paying bills, putting stuff away. Sounds so glamorous... not. But really, its been nice to have some down time before heading back to work on Wednesday. Time to get things in order, get back into a routine. Europe was lovely, and my most epic adventure to date! (more pictures and such to come) but it sure is nice to have a cup of coffee in my pjs in the morning while hanging out with my cat. I missed that among other things like "regular" toilets, drinking tap water, sleeping in my own bed. Ahhh... it is good to be home.

Highlights

The story of our trip, in pictures. And yes, I promise not to include any corny jokes... for those of you that remember the "Highlights" magazine. What I love about these pictures, is that they are not all mine, I quickly looked through all the 638 pictures that the four of us took this weekend and these are the ones that stood out most to me. Here goes... if a picture is worth a thousand words, then this is a nineteen thousand page novel. Better pull out a comfy chair and grab a glass of lemonade before you start!

the Beach

... we're back from the beach! My sis, cousins and I went to the Washington coast for a little girls vacation, a trip for just the four of us to spend time together, lots of good memories of Grandma taking us to the coast when we were younger. We really had a lovely time together! Sweet being all together, made a lot of awesome memories and reminisced about trips past. It gets a little easier to think about all that as time goes by.
This summer is flying by!! Haven't been able to keep up with laundry and keeping the floor swept let alone Project Life. Hoping to make a dent tonight! I can't believe July is almost over, crazy!

Cali

Down in California for a work conference while Joe and Mal hold down the fort at home. Don't have a car down here, so I did a lot of walking around today. 6.6 miles to be precise, my feet are a little tired. On my second venture out, I busted out my camera, these are my favs from this evening.

Hope everyone's week is going ok. Camera battery is almost dead now so probably mostly phone pics from here on out.
