Seattle Favorites

This trip to Seattle was full of a lot of favorites, including visits with awesome friends of coarse.

... favorite doughnut shop, Top Pot. Their apple fritters are the best!

This was actually a new Thai place we went too with Davidde called Bai Tong in Bellevue.

I don't usually love going to malls, but Seattle's outdoor mall is such a fun place to window shop. Joe dropped me off while he went to an appointment. I got a couple fun things at the Impress store and a delicious cupcake from Trophy Cupcakes. Actually had a little blue sky out as well!

Pineapple Upside Down Cupcake!

And of coarse, we had to stop by Dick's before we left for home! Favorite burger place and cheap too!

The mountains were out on our way home! My favorite stretch of I-90 is between North Bend and Ellensburg, love all the mountains - especially the Enchantments!

Oregon Coast Layouts

... I know, I know, I'm a slow scrapbooker. But that's ok. It's fun to be able to pick and choose what I want to work on. And I usually have enough pictures to suit just about any mood. This weekend, I made a couple pages about our Oregon coast road trip last summer. I've been using a *Smash book for more up to date stuff and saving all those little tib bits that hang around but never end up in my scrapbooks because I've forgotten I saved it by the time I scrapbook it.

Fun page about Roseanna's Cafe in Oceanside. It was Joe's birthday, and he told me he knew the first time he was there (before we met), that he wanted to bring his future wife back there someday.

This page took for-ev-er. I think Jenn finished at least two while I worked on this one. Anyways, happy with how it turned out. Used a bunch of October Afternoon stuff! Yay!

Spring is Here!

Despite the snow last night, I know spring is finally on its way! I'm so excited! As much as I love winter and snow, I love living in a place with four distinct seasons. I look forward to the change as the last season starts to get old. Today, it was light until almost seven, awesome! I've noticed robins in my yard, birds chirping outside, little shoots poking up all over the place, and three dollar bunchs of daffodils are back at the grocery store! Little cheery yellow bundles of spring!

Yay for spring!

Thrift Store Finds

Went to visit grandma today. Seems to be recognizing people a little more and her memory seems to be improving a little bit. Physically she seems to be doing well, using her left hand well and walking again, albeit a little wobbly.  Also went to Northwest Christian Thrift to find stuff for my "store". Hopefully, I will get my act together soon and get it up and running!

A couple old books, Alice in Wonderland and a mystery novel by Carolyn Keene.

Little pitcher for half and half with mushrooms on it.

Bag of fabric scraps for a few bucks.

Owl plate that reminds me of my Grandma Casto.

Some vintage little place cards with pink tulips.

Update

Well its sure been awhile, hasn't it? I've been busy working, helping with my grandma at the hospital and now at the rehab place. Also squeezed in a quick trip to Seattle and a couple trips to the thrift store. Here's some recent pictures.

Flowers and coffee at the hospital.

Jenn and I at Palamino in Bellevue.

Snow day! Everything is so pretty covered in snow. Anyways, work the next five but I'll try to check back in a little earlier this time! (just for you El) :)
