Spokane

We had a fun weekend in Spokane, saw all the family and friends. Hung out with the Finesilver's, had lunch at Chile's with the girls, got to spend some time with the family as well. On Friday, I dug through my sisters stuff and painted my nails bright pink :) Joe and I went out to see my grandma too, nice to see them and look at all their old pictures. I got to see my cute kitty too! On Sunday, we went up to the south hill to Great Harvest, I had the best cream cheese danish ever - YUM!!

Mashed Potato Snow

Generally speaking, I love mashed potatoes... one of my all time favorite comfort foods. However, today I found out that I detest snowboarding in "Northwest Powder" or "Mashed Potatoes". Basically you're regular flavor of powder turned soggy and thick. Sound like fun? Not so much. On a more positive note, it was nice to get some fresh air, get out of the city and spend some quality time with Joey.

Q&A

We've been having alot of rainy days recently, and I've run out of ideas of things to do. Any suggestions?

What is your favorite thing to do on a rainy, overcast day?

Scrapbooking

Jenn and Ellen came over today after the meeting for a little scrapbooking party! It was lots of fun - watched a chick flick, arts and crafts... and some cheesecake. Nice to have the girls over :) Jenn has a Slice and Ellen has a Cricut - they are both very cool and easy to use, makes nice embellishments for your pages (and save alot of time handcutting things).
Recently I've found two websites that are really cool. It's basically Steep&Cheap for scrapbookers - has one deal each day.
www.peachycheap.com
www.cropchocolate.com
Check 'em out if you like that kind of stuff!

Friday the 13th

"I'm not superstitious ... just a little-stitious."
- Michael Scott from The Office

Today I got my Valentine's Day present from Joey, a 1 hour massage from Massage Envy. It was really relaxing. I promised myself one after I graduated from nursing school and never did. Jenn and I walked the lake today, beautiful blue skies, the sun was out! Maybe the nasty gray of "winter" is almost over, we seem to have had a lot of nice days recently. Lots of people out with their dogs and/or strollers. Ordered some more pictures on SnapFish today, I've been scrapbooking more than usual recently. My cheesecake just came out of the oven, it has to cool overnight in the fridge. As much as I love cheesecake - the worst thing about is that it gets to taunt you for a whole day before you can eat it :)

The plan tomorrow is to go snowboarding w/ Joe and Matt... and I'm hoping for powder!!

Small

So the numbers are in...
Joe and I pulled out the measuring tape yesterday. Our apartment is officially about 450 square feet. Not 600 like we've been thinking for the last year and a half. We went to look at the new Circa apartments by Greenlake last week. The sales lady was showing us the 600 foot unit and we both looked at each other and thought, wow, this seems huge! Anyways, come this summer, Spokane or not I think its time to move. We're officially busting at the seams here...

I can't wait to get up to the mountain this week, hopefully there will be more fresh powder!!

Apple Pie

Not much adventuring going on of late... yesterday, I made an apple pie from scratch for the home meeting. Turned out pretty good, next time I'll use a little less citrus. I was going to take a picture of it, I cut out little snowflakes and put them on the crust (I stole Rachel's idea).

Any suggestions for my next pie experiment?
